HI Aunty. Smiling. I followed you to write on Substack. You're right about Ai, it tells you what you want to hear so it can easily manipulate us. That said, it's so so useful, you know I'm torn between never using it and using it sparingly right? Lol.
It's hard to avoid! What bothers me is that I have seen writers on Medium that I follow (but no longer) use ChatGPT as a citation, in the sense that it is a source of accurate information. When so much information on the internet is corrupted, and it is hard enough to tell what even has a chance of legitimacy, the use of AI is troubling.
It's going to be used in all kinds of dystopian things from managing insurance claims to autonomous weapons. I know we're not prepared for this world we're creating. But we're determined to go that way no matter what anyone says. We'll just have to go with the flow and survive all the massive changes incoming. It's not for the faint hearted.
